I like quotes that make me think and this is one of them. It’s like a which came first the chicken or the egg riddle.
Happy people had to get happy someway didn’t they? Probably something good came into their lives that made them thankful. Is it possible to be happy without being thankful? Meditate on that for a while and you will probably come to some realizations that will help you on your journey.
What emotion do people who are thankful have? Happiness, peace, content, etc. Is it possible for someone to be thankful and not be happy? I don’t think so.
When you read this meme you should also read this quote from Muhammad Ali.
Hang up these affirmations in the bathroom mirror in the morning. When you read these affirmations enough times they will become beliefs. After they become beliefs become convictions everything will enlighten upon you.
Read these to yourself every morning to help you create a better day.
Muhammad Ali has said this quote and I didn’t realize that he was a philosopher. Tony Robbins spoke of this as well, I wonder if he got it from Muhammad Ali from one of the many books that he read. It was a very important point to Tony and he has shared multiple times in his books.
Once you tell yourself enough affirmations that you want to belive it becomes a belief. You know that it CAN be true and CAN happen. But once your belief becomes a conviction you KNOW it is true and you KNOW that it can happen.
Be careful with your vocabulary if you used more words like know, can, etc. instead of words like maybe or possible then you will find that you can achieve more. Muhammad Ali is proof of that!
This Wayne Dyer quote reminds me of some success stories that I read in a Tony Robbins book.
The invention of the stick-it notepad was the result of a failure. The man was trying to develop a glue that would hold anything but ended up with something that hardly stuck at all for strength.
Instead of asking himself the wrong questions and getting himself into a frenzy he asked himself, “How could this be useful?”
By asking himself the right questions his brain came up with the answer. If he had asked himself, “Why am I a failure?” his brain would have came up with reasons why and that would throw him into a frenzy.
If any obstacles come your way think to yourself how can I turn this into an opportunity instead.
Find an image that brings you peace and enjoyment like this one does for me and just sit and meditate upon it to help center and ground yourself.
What would your image be?
Looking at this image calms and relaxes me. I imagine hearing the crunching under my feet as I walk toward this. I imagine a warm wind blowing through the trees in the background and excitement as I get to get a closer look at that old truck and what could be hiding in the building next to it.
Some people put a welcoming image on the home screen of their phone to help remind them of something or else help them get through the day. Instead of ‘getting through the day’ think about it as something to look forward too instead.
Oprah Winfrey gave this quote. I never read any of her stuff but I learned about all of the hardships that she had to go through while growing and have been told that reading her biography gave inspiration to many people.
It is true that if you are thankful for what is in your life you will realize how much you really have and how lucky you are to have it. Especially when you think of how many people do not have what you have. If you are always trying to keep up with the Jones and concentrate on what you don’t have you will never achieve peace and feel abundant in your life. Life will not be satisfying and you will feel empty inside.
Chances are you are the over-thinker or you know of someone that is. Over-thinking causes you to ask yourself the wrong questions and cause you to work yourself up in a frenzy.
Don’t think too much and just let things be.
If you have to think of something then think of the right thoughts instead like, “How can I make this better?” or “In what way is this situation good?”.
This Buddha quote works well if you have a strong will. The pain will come no matter what, but at least you will have the option to decide to suffer or not.
Of course, physical pain will make it harder to stop suffering but at least you can do something about it.
Emotional pain, if you are trained well enough, can have no suffering at all. Think about it. If you went through some pain in your life you carried around with you for a while, maybe even years. But the moment the suffering stopped you felt better about yourself or you made a decision for yourself and you were able to get rid of suffering in a moment. You can choose to end suffering the moment the pain shows up if you want.
This quote/meme is a reminder that there is no reason to worry if you can’t control what you are stressing about.
Also, there is no reason to worry if you can do something about it. So, that leaves out everything and you have no reason to stress or worry. Acceptance helps a lot too.
