Fix Problems by Thinking

"I do not fix problems. I fix my thinking. Then problems fix themselves." - Louise Hay
Solving Problems

Louise Hay if you didn’t know founded Hay House where you can get all of these great books, CDs, DVDs, etc. for spiritually-minded people.

This is a unique way of looking at things. Wayne Dyer also said something similar to this. It was, “When you change the way you look at things, the things that you look at will change.”

Same principle, same result. So the next time you have a problem with something change the way you look and think about it then you will discover that many of your problems will go away with little effort.

Tony Robbins also said something similar to this as well by instructing his listeners to ask yourself the right questions like, “How can I prevent this from happening again?” and “What is good about this situation?”. Ask these questions instead of questions like, “Why does this always happen to me?” If you ask questions like this your brain will come up with an answer and it will just get you into a worked up frenzy!

Think Before You

Before you speak think. T: Is it true? H: Is it Helpful? I: Is it Inspiring? N: Is it necessary? K: Is it Kind?
Think Before…

This is a quote that copies off of the Three Gates Buddha Quote. “Before you speak, let your words pass through three gates: Is it true? Is it necessary? Is it kind?”

I just checked and it looks like I did not have that quote entered into the website yet but know that I have it on here somewhere.

There are some people that if they followed either of these quotes you would hardly hear a peep out of them! Which is good for the rest of us! It is also similar to the quote, “Before you speak, does it improve upon the silence?” That is another quote that I have that has not been entered into this website yet.

Keeping any of these quotes/rules in mind will also help you from accidentally starting an argument, improve efficiency, and generally make the world a better place.

Quick Note: This also reminds me of the Aretha Franklin song think from the Blues Brothers movie.

We Are What We Think

We are shaped by our thoughts; we become what we think. When the mind is pure, joy follows like a shadow that never leaves.
We Are What We Think

I do believe that this was a Buddha quote. On the surface, it is pretty obvious. If we have angry thoughts then, of course, we will be angry people. But this, if practiced enough, will define what we are down to the core.

If you can keep your mind pure with thoughts then people, like-minded people will be more apt to approach you rather than if you have a scowl on your face. It’s second-nature, we determine who we are just by our thoughts and actions and everyone you come across will believe that as well. Joy will follow you and you will feel that you are born under a lucky star if your attitude matches and it becomes your core being then joy WILL follow you like a shadow that never leaves.

As an exercise try to catch yourself when you start having the wrong thoughts and tell yourself do you want to be like the person who consistently has this thought? Then go on with your day and try to catch the next negative thought that you don’t want to be defined as.
