This quote sits well with me. Because if you want to better than someone else then all that does is create dis-ease. I have been known to be a very competitive person when playing a game but have found out that when I change the competitiveness to just bettering myself I wound up much happier. You can achieve your goals much easier when you try to better yourself every day. When you better yourself you will find that other goals that you have will be easier to reach whether it be financial, spiritual, or physical goals.
