I mentioned this quote in another quote that mentions how worrying hurts. The Art of Ancient Wisdom often has excellent memes.
Worrying does not take away tomorrow’s troubles. It takes away today’s peace.

Here is a little guideline on how to bring more peace into your life. By doing less and not multi-tasking so much it is easier to be at peace. While doing your chores like washing the dishes make it a meditation and imagine yourself bathing the baby Buddha. It makes doing the dishes much easier.

This tinybuddha.com quote is a nice little reminder of how worrying does no good.
If something comes up that you can do something about it makes no sense to worry, doesn’t it?
However, if something comes up that you can do nothing about worrying does not help either does it?

This is a really good thought-provoking quote.
Two people will look at exactly the same thing and see completely different things. Whether it is a businessman seeing opportunity while others see failure or someone that sees someone sweeping a sidewalk as a beautiful thing or meaning nothing.
What is truly inside of you is what you will see, perceive the world, and ultimately will be decided for you on how your spirit will make you feel. This quote by “The Talmud” is something that I never heard before nor read anything about The Talmud so I cannot say anything about what they are like but I do agree strongly with this particular quote and included it to use for one of my meditations.
According to Wikipedia, the Talmud is the central text of Rabbinic Judaism and the primary source of Jewish religious law and Jewish theology.

One of the things that I think to myself when doing my manifestation meditations is from an old quote Healthy, Wealthy, and Wise.
Do you recognize what quote these words are from? If not, it is from the quote, “Early to bed, early to rise makes one healthy, wealthy, and wise”.

Too many times in life we take things for granted that are actually very important in our lives and once it is gone we wished we paid more attention to it.
When driving down the road be grateful that our taxes take care of the roads for us. Be grateful for our liver cleaning out our system. Be grateful for your parents because one day they will be gone and you’ll wish that you talked to them more to gain more insight.

Gratefulness is a subject that is mentioned quite a few times on this website, online, and courses.
If you are truly grateful for what you have your life will be more abundant and you will have less ‘desire’ for wanting more ‘stuff’.
It recommended by Wayne Dyer to have one meditation a day on everything that you are grateful for and have another meditation on manifesting what you want in your life. The meditation CD that Wayne talks about this is called, “Meditations for Manifesting” but it first came about from his Japa Meditation.
I highly recommend this meditation tape to listen to along with the much longer detailed course, “Manifest Your Destiny“. If you allow it, it will help change your life for the better and give you a better outlook on life. I go back and re-listen to it from time to time and it is one of those courses that will give you something new to learn every time because of what was going on in your life at the time.

This quote from the Buddha is a great play on words and I love it!
Some people call Buddha a god but he was just a prince (philosopher) that traveled the land and learned a lot about life then shared what he learned about life to everyone and developed a following.
An unknown fact about Buddha is that he had very strict rules for his followers such as keeping lust under control, etc. You can read more about it on this Wikipedia page entitled, “Buddhism and Sexuality“.
If you get rid of ego and desire all you are left with is happiness and knowing the why behind it makes the happiness last longer.

This quote by Wayne Dyer I am not sure if I agree with or not. As a very brief definition, it may suffice, but enlightenment is a very funny thing to define.
It has been a very closely guarded secret as to what it is exactly. Over the centuries it has been described very vaguely and not what happens exactly. For example, in one book it talks about how the student was stricken by a ruler then enlightenment struck him! The reason I hypothesize for them not explaining enlightenment in detail is that if you knew what it is going to be like exactly you will never know for sure if you attained enlightenment.
It is an incredible experience that when it happens your whole world changes and I don’t know about you but if I experience something almost unbelievable and magical and then read about the experience later it is more believable to me. I know that the experience REALLY did happen instead of manifested itself from my sub-conscience mind. An example of this is while meditating I felt a cold spot in the room then followed it around for a while then sat still and relaxed my eyes and saw a beam of light coming from the area. The funny thing about this beam of light is that it CURVED! I never heard or read about anything like that before but read about it in a book later about it being a sort of portal from another dimension. For something as incredible as this it was almost unbelievable if I didn’t see it with my own eyes and if I had read about it first I would second guess myself if I really did see it or imagine it from the book that I read.
The book, “The Three Pillars of Zen” is the first book that described enlightenment in great detail on what it really is like. I had achieved enlightenment and it was a most incredible experience for me. To the point of the complete understanding that I received when I looked out the window and saw a woman sweeping the sidewalk outside, I started to cry because I saw how beautiful it really was. I was connected to everything and did not have any unanswered questions at all. I was aware of the past, present, and future at the same time briefly (about six hours) and saw myself in everything and how we were all connected. I thought I had started to be driven mad until I read someone else having the same experience in the book, “Hardcore Zen” written by Brad Warner who surprisingly was a punk rocker.
Unfortunately, once this enlightenment was over I was back to being a human force and wish I could stay that way forever. I suppose being a spiritual being having a human experience limits this but at least I know what it will be like once this body dies. Even though I do not agree 100% on this quote I do know that it will bring you a more peaceful life.

A simple message that gives a profound statement. So much peace can come from this if people can just understand the deeper meaning of this. If it was meant to happen it will and if it seems negative at the time then you have to have faith that it was meant to be and if you would have continued going down that road it probably would have ended up worse.
Have faith that the universe unfolds as it should be.
